PFAS Alternatives

PFAS (organic fluorine compounds) is a collective term for perfluoroalkyl and polyfluoroalkyl compounds. PFAS are used in a wide range of applications because they exhibit excellent performance characteristics, including heat resistance, chemical resistance, light resistance, water and oil repellency, and abrasion resistance. However, because they are difficult to degrade in the environment, concerns have been raised regarding their potential adverse environmental effects. As a result, there is a growing trend to replace PFAS-related substances with PFAS-free alternatives, shifting focus toward PFAS alternatives.
