Leveling properties (smoothness) polymer
PF-06 is a polymer containing silicone-based monomers. Incorporation of PF-06 into polymer materials is expected to improve leveling properties (smoothness).

PF-06 exhibited leveling properties equivalent to those of PFAS-containing polymers.
Measurement of leveling properties for PF-06
Surface tension (mN/m) of solutions of three polymers (PF-06, polymer A, and polymer B), each added to the solvent at 0.08 wt%, was measured. The results indicate that the solution containing PF-06 exhibited the lowest surface tension.
Synthesis of polymers used for measurement
Polymer A: Copolymerization of a compatible monomer with PFAS
Polymer B: Copolymerization of a compatible monomer with an existing silicone-based monomer
