FOM-03006 to 03009 are Fujifilm's unique novel monomers containing more than one acrylamide groups with excellent reactivity. They have features that the existing monomers do not have, with high curability, water solubility, stability and safety.

Excellent in hydrolytic resistance in acidic to basic aqueous solutions.
The stability of FOM-03006 in aqueous solution was evaluated (45°C, 2 weeks). As comparative compounds,
3) Highly curable
- Compared to commercially available 4-functional acrylate TM-0, less susceptible to inhibition of polymerization by oxygen, with high polymerization property.
4) Excellent in safety
- FOM-03006 has a high safety that conventional acrylamides do not have.

Usage example 1.
- A functional coat with a high hydrophilicity can be formed.
- Due to the high water solubility of the monomer and initiator, a coat solution can be prepared using water as a solvent.

Usage example and physical characteristics of Coat A
- Apply to PET substrate, dry (50°C/5 min), and then photocure (3 J/cm2)

In evaluation of wettability by water contact angle showing affinity with water, Coat A exhibits high hydrophilicity with a low contact angle, and maintains the hydrophilicity even when it is re-dried after being impregnated with water.
Usage example 2.
- By replacing a commercially available polyfunctional acrylic monomer with FOM-03006, a coating film less likely to curl with less cure shrinkage can be formed.
